Dear Students,<\/p>\n

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging milestone in our lives and also in our institutions. COIFFA (Iberoamerican Conference of Faculties of Pharmacy) also had to adjust to the restritions that we all felt and since the meeting in 2019 in Mexico (Campeche), all the others took place online. However, and because the life, of both people and institutions, has an irreplaceable component, which is presence and physical contact, the Standing Committee of COIFFA is pleased to announce that the X Iberoamerican Congress of Pharmaceutical Sciences<\/strong> will take place from 26 to 28 October 2023<\/strong>, in Coimbra, Portugal.<\/p>\n

The Congress, under the theme \"Opening Borders\"<\/strong>, has as it's main objective to highlight that the borders we know have to be more and more open, so if the disease surpasses them without the need for permission, health also has to have the same capacity.<\/p>\n

Pharmacists have always worked for this goal, and COIFFA, as a representative of the education of these health professionals in the Iberoamerican area, is an example of this, even if it's mission is an unfinished milestone.<\/p>\n

Recent developments in the area of education, research and career will be the main topics to be presented and discussed at the Congress, with experts from the main areas (Pharmaceutical Education, Ethics and Deontology, Community Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology and Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Pharmacodynamomia, Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmacy, Bromatology, Pharmacognosy and Nutraceuticals, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Regulatory Affairs, Biochemistry, Clinical Analysis, Forensic and Toxicological Analysis), always in a perspective of \"opening borders\", where artificial intelligence, among other areas, will also be present.<\/p>\n

The preliminary Programme is avaliabe HERE<\/a><\/span><\/strong>However, but not least, we invite all Colleagues and Students to share their work by sending abstracts that, after a positive evaluation by the International Scientific Committee, will originate communications, both in oral and poster form.<\/p>\n

The Congress will iniciate on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 2:00 pm, with a welcome reception in the evening. On October 27, we will have dinner to get together in an informal environment. The meeting will end on Saturday, October 28. Is a once in a lifetime opportunity to share new scientific and professional knowledge, as well as to start collaborations in a friendly environment.<\/p>\n

The Congress will take place in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra, located in Health Sciences Campus.<\/p>\n

The University of Coimbra was established in 1920, one of the oldest universities of Europe and in 2013 was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in recognition of its historical buildings, cultural traditions and openness to the world.<\/p>\n

You can arrive at Coimbra from the international airports of Lisbon and Oporto, by train or bus.<\/p>\n

Coimbra is also a touristic city and accommodation can be booked through this website, or independently if you prefer, as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

We are all looking foward to meet in person again and share inspiring opinions on the lastest results in the areas of education, investigation and career, in the Iberoamerican area of Pharmaceutical Sciences.<\/p>\n
